DIXSON
It was a great pleasure to have DIXSON join us out in the desert for an amazing tracking session for his 004Daisy Album (Roc Nation) on the heals of his Oscar nom for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the song “Be Alive” featured in the film King Richard. The AP says this about his latest album- “Dixson embraces modernity and forges a sweet new R&B sound on his third album, “004Daisy.” His work with Beyoncé shows the sound he is cultivating for himself in “OO4Daisy” — an inventive new form of alternative R&B. It is meant to be genre-bending, purposefully challenging people to rethink that they’ve heard everything from the well-established and now expansive genre.”
DIXSON has produced and written for artists such as Chance the Rapper, Justin Bieber, Chika, YEBBA, BOSCO, Kirk Franklin, Kim Burrel, Peter CottonTale and Cannes Lion award winning campaign, ONWARD. Along with producing almost half of Chance The Rapper’s The Big Day project, DIXSON recently worked with Justin Bieber on the acoustic version of the hit track “Holy.” In 2022 DIXSON was nominated for Best Original Song for his collaboration with Beyoncé titled “Be Alive.” The song was featured in the Oscar-nominated film King Richard about the father of tennis champions Serena and Venus Williams. He also made two songwriting appearances on Beyoncé’s summer smash hit album “Renaissance.”
It was great to hear the tracks for 004Daisy in raw form being honed in with the help of DIXSON’s right hand man Stuart Schenk. We’re looking forward to our next session with DIXSON and to seeing his career continue to grow. Congratulations DIXSON!
