FAQ
Q: What are the studio / session hours?
A: Our day rates are based on a full day - up to 10 hours maximum. We typically start at 10am and go until 8pm but we can work with you to accommodate your best work schedule. We like to have the studio closed by 10 pm unless you’re booking a 24 hour lockout but there is flexibility so let us know your schedule preference when booking and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: do we get a credit if we use less than 10 hours in a day?
A: No but we will do everything to make it as fair as possible. Once you’ve booked the studio for the day we are committed to your project for that day and have not booked anything else during that time. If you don’t think you’ll need a full day please inquire about our hourly rates. It’s also important to remember that all of the work for your session including set up, tear down, file transfers & stem prints count towards your session hours, so be sure to factor that in when planing your session time.
Q: what should we bring?
A: If you’re planning to bring any specialty gear be sure to bring the associated power supplies and cables that you may need as there may be something specific to your set up that we don’t have. Also be sure to bring a hard drive so you can take your session files with you when you go.
For outside engineers we have plenty of extra “visitor rack” lines to accommodate any outboard gear you may want to bring and they tie directly into our patch bay for seamless workflow.
Q: Are there places to eat nearby?
A: Yes, there are restaurants within a 15 minute drive however they are often on “desert time” or don’t stay open late so we suggest stopping at a grocery store on the way in to at least grab some basics. That said, we will help guide you and give you all the best spots to hit if you want to go get a taste of the local eateries! You can visit our Points Of Interest page to get a listing of bars, restaurants and markets in the area.
