NORMAN WESTBERG

Guitarist and composer Norman Westberg is best known for his work in the seminal outfit SWANS but his output beyond that group is sprawling and restless.  Norman is starting to amass a sizable catalog of solo material comprised of hypnotic guitar soundscapes and dreamy dark interstellar drones.  His name recurs and ripples through the New York music and art scenes and I caught up with him last November during his solo record release party at the Brooklyn venue Union Pool.   After recording his live show (details on those recording forthcoming) I was able to sit down with Norman to discuss his solo material, touring and his work with SWANS.  Take a listen to my interview with Norman here:
